Celebrating Uniqueness along the Journey!

We all have unique aspects that make us sparkle. We are indeed unlike any other human that has walked this earth.   Though we share much with others in our lives, not remembering we are unique can block creativity. I know this well. I have always felt that I needed to fit into a mold that others wanted me to match. I have tried, more often than not, to fit into that perception of me that was not unique.   With this project and my writing, I am okay with being unique. I do not wish to fit into a cookie-cutter version of an author. I will strive to find uniqueness in every podcast interview, every blog post & every novel I create.   I wish to be unlike anyone else. I am confident many others have felt this desire as well. It can be a challenging place to be. It is almost more comfortable to allow others, or society dictates to us who we should be. It doesn’t take much thought or introspection to enable others to create the person in us that they need or wish to have around them. The challenge is being true to oneself, to those who we love, and to the uniqueness that we are—without sacrificing that which we value. I am reminding myself every day, not just today,  how I am unique.  I have value to share. In telling myself, I strive to look at those around me an see what makes them unique. I want to draw out of them that which is remarkable about themselves. I crave for them to see their beauty. I want to step away from my fears of other’s uniqueness and to opened to finding value in differences. I am trying to embrace my uniqueness and champion others! How about you, do you embrace your uniqueness?
