Enjoying Kindness along the Journey!

I do have a motto that I try to live by in my work, personal projects, and life: Work hard & Be Nice! I know that it’s a bit of a cliquish, but I have worked with individuals that have not lived by kindness & strong work ethics.   Being kind is never out of fashion in any area of our lives. Working hard is never overrated when there is value in work. The aspect of kindness that I have marveled at during the production of this podcast is the kindness of other authors. I have stated already that I have no idea what I am doing. I am inquisitive & I love to ask questions. As a professional academic mentor, I like to say I have the business of harassment down. All of that can come through as I have pursued new authors to interview on the podcast.   The kindness kicks in when these fantastic individuals are willing to spend an hour with me. When a recording is rolling, and they share in my mad pursuit of answers. They are doing me a favor. They are allowing themselves to open up to giving tips, tricks, and valuable advice. Many in the publishing industry charge fees for these tips; but these authors have been kind enough to respond to my emails (yes, there are a few!)   Some have been kind enough to have two takes of the podcast because I was not satisfied with the first.   They were kind enough to find me on Facebook and share encouragement in Messenger. They know how hard this work can be.   They have demonstrated to me that I am in the right community.   All of the authors I have interviewed have lived up to my motto and given me great examples to emulate. They are kind & extremely hard working! How about you, do you have a motto you live by?
